Namaste and warm greetings to our dear Rukmini family!

We are delighted to share with you the heartwarming moments from our recent Didi Program held at Tribhuvan Adarsha School. The air was filled with laughter and learning, and we are so happy to recount the day’s beautiful events with you all.

On a pleasant August day, we had the privilege of spending time with bright young minds from grades 9 and 10. We were also honoured to have with us a special guest, Nisha Poudel ji, whose presence added so much warmth and inspiration to the gathering.

The program began not with formal speeches, but with joyful interactions. Nisha Didi initiated an engaging “Act Game” that had everyone smiling and participating eagerly. As students passed actions from one to another, the room echoed with laughter, and in that lightness, a meaningful lesson was shared—about the importance of clear understanding and thoughtful communication in our lives.

Nisha Didi then narrated the beloved tale of The Grasshopper and the Ant, reminding everyone gently of the value of hard work and timely effort. But what truly touched our hearts was when she shared her own life journey—from her childhood in Dakshinkali to balancing her career and motherhood with grace and resilience. Her story was not just told; it was felt—a sincere account of dreams pursued with determination and the support of loved ones.

She spoke of her academic life, the confidence she built through extracurricular activities, and the challenges she overcame with patience and strength. Her words, “How we do something matters more than what we do,” lingered in the room, leaving a quiet yet powerful impression on all of us.

Later, the Balloon Game brought everyone together in a spirit of playful camaraderie. What started as a fun activity turned into a beautiful moment of kindness when one young boy chose not to burst the balloon of his classmate and instead said, “Let’s win together.” It was a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes about respect, unity, and supporting one another.

As the program came to a close, we felt deeply grateful—for the eager participation of the students, the supportive presence of the teachers, and the heartfelt sharing by Nisha Didi. The day was a gentle yet meaningful reminder of how small interactions can plant seeds of confidence, kindness, and courage.

We left with renewed belief in the power of education, empathy, and encouragement. It is days like these that strengthen our resolve to walk alongside these young minds as they shape their futures.

Thank you once again to everyone who made this day so special. We look forward to many more such gatherings filled with joy and learning.

With warm regards,
The Rukmini Foundation Team
